Geelong Football Club

The Geelong Football Club was founded in 1859 and is behind the Melbourne Football Club as the oldest club of any code in the second world. Known as the 'Cats' they entered the league as a club founded in 1897 and during its existence, have won eight Premierships.Geelong carry their home games at Skilled Stadium in Geelong, which is about 30 minutes' drive from Melbourne along the Princes Highway and is the club's colors of blue and white.

Geelong is the home of former champion Gary Ablett Snr player to be seen by many as one of the greatest players in games. The legend Gary Ablett Jnr's son is currently playing for the Cats won the 2009 Brownlow Medal with 30 votes.Recently, the cats have a reference point for other teams and completed their second Grand Final victory in three years when they defeated St Kilda at the flag in 2009.
