Western Bulldogs in 2011

The Western Bulldogs had a season to off after the game in the final draft in recent seasons to forget. The loss of the dual All Australian defender Brian Lake hurt the defense, while other defender Ryan Hargrave, Dale Morris and Tom Williams all had injuries throughout the year, which effectively disarticulated the backline.

Key playmaker Adam Cooney has never been right and the bad form of Lindsay Gilbee to forget all in all, a season for the Bulldogs.Coach Rodney Eade resigned after Round 21 and the arrival of new coach Brendan McCartney may see a change of luck for the guys from the West.

Western Bulldogs won the 2011 best and fairest    : Matthew Boyd

Matthew Boyd is one of the unsung heroes of the Western Bulldogs and again has a consistent season with 701 disposals, 8 goals and more than 5 attacks per game.
